Accounting Services Firm based in Long Island is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our accounting team and provide exceptional financial management services for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in QuickBooks and a proven track record in managing reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

This is a temp to perm position paying up to $38/hour and the company would like to hire ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage accurate financial records for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
• Generate and analyze ad hoc financial reports based on client needs, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely billing and payment processing.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data.
• Identify discrepancies in records and resolve them promptly.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices to provide high-quality service.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in an accounting firm or managing multiple clients.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members..
