Robert Half is seeking a highly motivated Cost Accountant to join our client's growing team south of Baltimore. This role will be instrumental in supporting the accounting department by maintaining financial records and conducting cost analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement cost standards for materials and labor, and prepare cost sheets for manufactured products.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products.
• Coordinate with the inventory management team to compare actual costs to estimates and analyze variances.
• Assist in developing and implementing cost-effective policies and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years' experience in cost accounting, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• CPA or CMA certification is a bonus.
