Job Description:
Key Role:
As ETL Test Engineer you will be expected to perform manual and automation testing in validating data
sources, extraction of data, applying transformation logic, and loading data into target tables, working
closely with data engineering functions to ensure a sustainable test approach.
Basic Qualifications:
- ETL tester with at least 44+ years of ETL testing experience
- Testing experience in Data Engineering (Spark/PySpark and Data Bricks), Big Data Testing and
Strong Python/PySpark scripting.
- Strong working experience with AWS Services like Glue, EMR etc.
- Experience with AWS Databases RDS PostgreSQL/AWS Redshift/ MS SQL Server/Mongo DB
Database and highly proficient with complex SQL scripting to validate source/target data load
and transformations
¿ Experience in Databricks data pipeline testing with Databricks/Spark framework in AWS cloud
infrastructure
¿ Knowledge of applying the PySpark Data Frame API concepts using PySpark to complete data
transformations/manipulation task's
¿ Strong uCandidate needs to have a very good understanding of business intelligence concepts,
architecture & building blocks in areas ETL processing, Databricks Delta lake, Datawarehouse,
dashboards and analytics
¿ Experience on different types of testing that includes Black Box testing, Smoke testing,
Functional testing, System Integration testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression testing & User
Acceptance testing (UAT) & Involved in Load Testing, Performance Testing & Stress Testing as
needed.
¿ Hands-on experience and strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and
Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) on Agile Scrum environments
¿ Work with DevOps team to integrate the test automation scripts into GitHub/Jenkins CI/CD
pipeline.
¿ An effective communicator with strong analytical abilities combined with skills to plan,
implement & presentation of projects
- Experience with Integration testing and E2E testing among different upstream projects
- Public Trust clearance
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience using JIRA, Cucumber Gherkin, BDD, IBM's ETM/ELM toolset
- Data migration testing automation experience using tools like iDQE or Informatica Data
Validation
- Working knowledge in scripting languages like Python to create automated Test Scripts
- Experience with Selenium Rest Assured API automation testing experience
- Experience creating Selenium Automation Frameworks from scratch
- Working knowledge of non-functional automation testing tools, including JMeter or LoadRunner
- Experience Experience with DevOps concepts and integrating regression tests as part of the
CI/CD pipeline and build process
- Experience with implementing a test automation suite to validate COTS and 3rd party products
- Knowledge of non-functional automation testing tools, including JMeter or LoadRunner
- Agile or SAFe certification
