Legal Assistant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support our family law practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role involves assisting attorneys with various legal tasks, ensuring smooth operation within the firm, and maintaining effective communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and pleadings related to family law cases.
• Conduct client intakes and consultations to gather necessary information for cases.
• Schedule hearings and manage calendars for attorneys.
• Prepare and organize discovery documents and mandatory disclosures.
• Assist with e-filing documents in accordance with court requirements.
• Maintain client files and ensure all documentation is up to date and easily accessible.
• Communicate with clients regarding case updates and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal setting.
• Proven experience as a legal assistant, preferably in family law.
• Strong understanding of family law procedures and terminology.
• Proficient in e-filing and legal document preparation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
