Automotive Service Technician Elgin, IL Join the fastest growing Chevrolet Dealership in the Chicagoland area! We are looking to hire a Automotive Service Technician to grow with our expanding service department. • Journeymen techs starting pay is $42.00 and scales up past $60

Technicians Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform basic or routine maintenance items
• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications to be an Service Technicians:

• High School diploma
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance
• Learns Quickly
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Team Player
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Ensures that customers cars are kept clean
• Maintain workspace in an orderly and clean manner
• Ability to identify problems quickly
• Math, reading, and computer skills
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
