YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE
The Jrn. Business Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting music and entertainment industry data. The insights resulting from this analysis will inform business strategies, marketing decisions, and content creation within this dynamic and ever-evolving field.
YOUR IMPACT TO OUR BUSINESS
Gather data from various sources, including streaming platforms, social media, sales reports, and market research studies.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to the music and entertainment industry. Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to present findings effectively.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of artists, albums, and songs across different platforms. Identify factors influencing success and areas for improvement.
Segment audiences based on demographic, geographic, and behavioral factors to tailor marketing strategies and content recommendations.
Develop predictive models to forecast music consumption patterns, audience preferences, and market demand.
Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, A&R (Artists and Repertoire), DSP, and finance, to leverage data insights and drive business growth.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by implementing quality control measures and resolving discrepancies.

Your knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, data sciences, economics, or related field.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in data analysis, preferably in the music or entertainment industry.
Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or MATLAB.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
Knowledge of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
Passion for music and entertainment and a deep understanding of industry trends and dynamics.
Excellent communication skills, including writing both in English and Spanish
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other similar programs.
