WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will partner cross functionally with Merchandising, Sales, and Planning teammates.  You will work with internal Nike teammates, as well as external account partners.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Lead Assortment Planner to shape and influence merchandise plans grounded in profitability, productivity, and the most consumer right offerings.  You will create pre-season classification and franchise plans that support the goals of Nike, our partner, and consumer field of play teams.  You will work across in-season and pre-season to help influence and guide strategies, ensuring we bring the best of Nike to life through our marketplace partner.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

  • 6 years' retail relevant experience in merchandise planning, company planning, merchandising, allocations or operations

  • Ability to forecast the potential of a style in the marketplace as well as quantify any gaps to financial plans from a bottoms up perspective

  • Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trend

  • Demonstrated experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product and inventory planning; strong ability to interpret sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business

  • Possess strong communication skills; adept ability to develop compelling communication grounded in data

  • Strong ability to influence and build strong relationships; experience working with external wholesale partners preferred

  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes

In this role you'll establish merchandise plans that tell a story for the season and helps merchandising to create a line grounded in profitability and consumer centric offering. This will include collaborating with merchandising and sales to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial plans and product opportunities.

You will:

  • Present financial plans, forecasts and strategies in key meetings. You'll proactively report on the health of the business and facilitate smart business decisions, communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to managers and cross-functional team members on a weekly basis

  • Build strong collaboration with account partner; align financial goals and be an active partner in building in-season strategies to maximize opportunities

  • Develop seasonal plans and monthly forecasts inclusive of sales, margin and inventory at the franchise / classification level

  • Recap and analyze the business against forecast weekly and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a monthly and seasonal basis

  • Support monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management activities
