Job Title: Power BI Developer/Analyst


Long term Contract

Must work in PST time zone.

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer/Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into impactful visual reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Design Reports: Create visually appealing and informative reports and dashboards using Power BI to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Data Modeling: Build and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for data analysis and reporting.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize Power BI dashboards and reports for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Security Management: Implement data security measures and manage user access to reports and dashboards.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices.
• Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and updates, and continuously improve existing processes and solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in Power BI development.
  • Experience with SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.

Skills:

• • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent.

Technical Skills:

• • Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory).
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.
