Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB's products with customer applications to meet their requirements/specifications. Each day, you will select optimized products and technology for adaptation, prepare relevant documentation, and serve as a key technical resource for the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities by proactively prospecting, networking. •Serves as the front-end sales team focal point for ABB Power Management Software solutions and applications with the core objective of driving sales strategies to increase install base. Applicable solutions include but are not limited to the following: o Asset and Condition Monitoring o Electrical Control and Monitoring o Energy Management o Substation Automation •Collaborates with account managers to develop new sales opportunities and drive growth initiatives needed to achieve order target directives. Maintains accurate sales forecast within SFDC.. •Provides consulting support to the account management team for sales engagement activities including but not limited to capture team strategies, technical meetings, and product presentations. •Develops understanding of the internal and external competitive landscape to create meaningful market intelligence pertaining to power management software solutions for industrial applications. Creates a portfolio SWOT analysis to identify weaknesses and derive value propositions around our strengths.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related STEM field and to or more (10 preferred) years of experience: 3-5 years relevant sales experience or customer facing experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
- Requires knowledge of industrial software solutions for Electrical SCADA, energy/power management control, monitoring, and optimization applications.
- Requires knowledge of electrical distribution methods, single line diagrams, facility power consumption / generation strategies, and power management systems
- Requires knowledge of electrical distribution equipment (MV/LV Switchgear, Motor Control etc..) and its applicable intelligent electronic devices (IEDs).
- Requires knowledge of general substation automation communication design practices including but not limited to protocols such as IEC61850, networking architectures, device integration and data acquisition methods.
- Technical ability to derive competitive electrical solutions comprised of ABB and or third-party supplier product portfolios.
- US Citizen or work authorization to perform work within the US is required
