Balance Staffing is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Carson City, Nevada . This position focuses on monitoring food safety and quality assurance activities to ensure product reliability and compliance.

Position Details

• Location : Carson City, Nevada
• Job Type : Temp-to-Hire
• Shift : 1st Shift, 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM (Monday-Friday), with OT as needed
• Pay : Starting at $18.00/hour
• Sign-On Bonus : $500 (upon becoming a permanent employee)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance tests and inspections during various stages of the production process
• Test products for quality attributes like temperature, defects, code dates, etc., and record results
• Evaluate data, write reports, and suggest improvements or modifications to quality or production standards
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Management team to achieve operational objectives
• Complete audits, resolve issues, and implement production improvements
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, ensuring compliance with specifications
• Analyze and document key production metrics for continuous improvement
• Communicate directly with operators and production personnel regarding quality and safety concerns
• Handle special projects, troubleshooting quality issues, and performing root cause analysis
• Collect and maintain retention samples on a scheduled basis

Qualifications

• Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience or knowledge of food quality standards and food safety protocols
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, analysis, and reporting

Benefits

• Hourly Pay : Starting at $18.00 per hour
• Sign-On Bonus : $500 (when converted to permanent employee status)
