LOCATION: Tampa, FL (hybrid)

If you’re ready to mix the magic of marketing with mouthwatering food, you should apply to our open role as Restaurant Opening Marketing Manager! The Restaurant Opening Marketing Manager will be responsible for Marketing new Franchisees and Company owned Checkers & Rally’s Restaurants. The role will support the marketing efforts for the restaurant openings and remodels from initial stages of construction, through the post opening plan completion, or until transitioned to Field Marketing Manager of assigned region. The role will collaborate closely with the Marketing team, Franchisee, the Development team, Operations team and our external media, print and merchandising partners.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Meet, Greet, and Update: Participate in restaurant Development meetings, where you'll provide status updates on New Restaurant Openings (NRO) and Remodels. Keep the cross-functional teams in the loop to ensure the marketing materials and grand opening plans are ready to roll like a perfectly crisp fry.
  • Get the Word Out Early: Proactively communicate with franchisees and company operators from the get-go. You’ll educate and guide them on the NRO marketing process and timeline, ensuring everyone knows exactly what’s needed for a smooth and well executed grand opening.
  • Partner Up for a Burger Bash: Collaborate with franchisees, company operators, and cross-functional teams to plan local marketing activations, that make an impact. You’ll incorporate everything from local community outreach, to promotions, to social media campaigns, and more!
  • Analyze and Improve: After the grand opening, dig into the NRO sales data and evaluate the performance of various marketing tactics. You’ll measure success based on timing and marketing support and share insights to improve future openings.
  • Keep the Process Fresh: Improve our NRO marketing systems and processes, making sure creative requests, content lists, marketing materials, and franchisee partnerships are streamlined and efficient.
  • Be a Relationship Builder: Build strong, collaborative relationships with franchisees, Development teams, Field Marketing, and Operations. You'll gather key insights about local areas to incorporate into future NRO marketing plans.
  • Coordinate for Success: Be the orchestrator of new restaurant and remodel marketing!
  • Budget Boss: Keep track of all NRO Grand Opening fee deposits, spending, ensure that the NRO and remodel marketing plans stay within budget.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree) in marketing or related field

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Master Multitasker : You’ve got the proven ability to juggle multiple projects, people, and plates (figuratively, not literally) in a fast-paced environment.
  • QSR Experience : 2+ years in the franchised Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) biz. You know what goes into making a fast-food restaurant run like a well-oiled machine (or grill, in this case) and have worked with Franchisees.
  • Marketing Pro : 3+ years of experience in marketing new restaurant openings or local store marketing. You've got the secret sauce to make any opening successful and tasty.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Project Management Extraordinaire: You’ve got strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and a knack for solving problems.
  • Local Store Marketing Savvy: You understand the ins and outs of local store marketing and the tech that goes along with it. You can apply that knowledge to create a marketing plan that’s as irresistible as our fries.
  • Franchisee Educator: You’ll break down complex opening processes, marketing jargon, accounting, and point-of-purchase lingo in a way that’s easy for Franchisees to digest.
  • Media Guru: You’ve got a basic understanding of local media and know how to turn fancy media acronyms into franchisee-friendly language (so they can focus on what they do best—making tasty food!).
  • Deadline Dynamo: You thrive under pressure and know how to hustle to meet tight deadlines.
  • Willing to Travel: Ready to hit the road up to 20% of the time—because sometimes, the best burger openings require you to be on-site and in the action!
  • Integrity & Trust: You’ve got a personality that builds trust and respects high levels of integrity. Keeping things real is key, especially in this fast-paced industry.
  • Adaptability: You can quickly adjust to changing business environments, and you’ve got the creativity to come up with new marketing tactics that keep everything fresh.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Box, and other common business tools.

 

Salary Range: Salary ranges from $90,000-$100,000 annually depending on experience. Additional compensation includes an annual bonus and monthly phone statement.
