Job Description

The World Equestrian Center Ocala is seeking an experienced Senior Printing/Laser Production Technician to lead and supervise the engraving and printing team. This individual will oversee the operation of both laser engraving machines and large format printers. In addition to operating the machines, this role will involve supervising junior team members and managing workflow. 

This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in laser engraving and printing production, excellent leadership skills, and a desire to drive efficiency and quality across the team. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Supervise daily operations of the laser engraving and printing team to ensure production targets and deadlines are met. 
• Oversee the setup and operation of Universal Laser and Epilogue laser engraving machines for production and custom orders. 
• Train and mentor junior team members in laser engraving and printing processes, including CorelDraw/Adobe Design setup. 
• Manage stock and supplies for all laser and printing equipment, coordinating orders as needed to avoid production delays. 
• Perform quality control checks on finished products and ensure they meet customer expectations before repacking. 
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues to minimize downtime. 
• Maintain production documentation and report on efficiency, and machine upkeep to upper management. 
• Assist with the development and implementation of production improvements and process optimization strategies. 
• Lead safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized production environment. 

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years working with Universal and/or Epilogue laser engraving machines and large format printers. 
• Software Proficiency: Experience with CorelDraw and/or Adobe Photoshop for job setup and design. 
• Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team, while maintaining focus on production goals and quality standards. 
• Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot machine or production issues and implement effective solutions. 
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to and address concerns from both team members and clients. 
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as necessary. 
• Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure. 
• Additional Language: Fluency in a second language is a plus.
