Job Description
Description Shift: 7am-5pm Monday - Friday Pay: $26.50 + Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated, maintenance orientated Sr. Welder at our Des Moines Shop location. This position will be responsible for welding, fabricating, cutting and miscellaneous mechanical work for our Des Moines District operating plants. This position will be working in underground mines, surface quarries, sand plants and our maintenance shop.

- Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant equipment
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and in elevated areas
- Ability to weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant equipment
- Mechanically inclined to use a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
- Proactive in Safety and works well in a team
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willing to travel 60% of the time
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience - High School Degree
- Previous welding/fabrication experience
- Skill Trade Certification(s).
- Bi-Lingual is a plus
Work Environment Primary operates in a shop environment with some work in an underground or surface mine setting.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel Frequent travel will be required.
