About the Role:

Title: Mechanical Engineer/Analyst

Location: Indianapolis, IN –

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite

Duration: 12-month contract with possible extension or permanent conversion

• You are eligible for benefits during the contractual period!
• Also eligible for paid overtime

Pay Rate : $60-100/hr depending on experience

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or a degree in a related field
• 10+ years of Aerospace experience and mechanical systems specializing in design of gears and shafts.
• Understanding of stress analysis concepts: Stress, strain and failure investigations.
• Familiarity with mechanical testing: planning, organization, instrumentation, execution, data reduction and correlation
• Experience with 3D mechanical design tools. (Preferably SiemensNX or Solidworks )
• Experience performing Finite modeling using ANSYS
• Expertise performing hand calculations based on fundamental equations
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct stress analysis on engine components such as gears and shafts.
• Perform detailed design and analysis using advanced engineering software and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and performance of mechanical systems.
• Develop and validate models to predict the behavior of components under various operating conditions.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and findings to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices in mechanical engineering and stress analysis.
