Merchant McIntyre & Associates (MM) is a growing government relations and federal grant writing firm headquartered in Washington, D.C. We proudly represent nonprofit clients from various sectors including higher education, health care, and local governments. MM seeks an energetic and dedicated Research and Communications Fellow to support the Business Development team. The ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity to combine an interest in communications or sales with one in public policy.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
1. Compile preparation materials and potential client background information.
2. Data entry management in Salesforce. Ensure up-to-date account information and contact records.
3. Prepare client proposal documents. This may include agendas, requests for proposal responses, client letters, and email drafting.
4. Track and research federal grant opportunities, as well as legislative and policy objectives relevant to potential clients.
5. Conduct long-term research projects on various issues, including healthcare, higher education, local government, and social services.
6. Support administrative tasks such as maintaining organized business development folders, scheduling, and coordinating team logistics.
7. Assist the business development team with the production of marketing materials.

This is a hybrid role in Washington, DC, and requires in-office attendance Tuesday-Thursday. Remote candidates will not be considered.
