ROLE OVERVIEW

The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, tax planning, and financial reporting for Fashion Nova. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can navigate complex tax issues, optimize tax strategies, and ensure timely and accurate filings. The Tax Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal, to support the company's tax function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage external service providers on sales/use tax compliance to ensure timely accurate reporting and remittance.
2. Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and responses.
3. Work with external providers on the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales and use tax, income tax, and franchise tax.
4. Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations while identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency.
5. Conduct tax research and analysis to assess the impact of new tax laws and regulations on the company.
6. Develop and implement tax strategies that align with Fashion Nova’s business objectives.
7. Collaborate with external tax advisors, auditors, and consultants to ensure best practices in tax compliance.
8. Assist in tax accounting and reporting processes.
9. Support transfer pricing compliance and international tax matters as needed.
10. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax changes and assess their implications for the company.
11. Provide guidance and training to internal teams regarding tax policies and procedures.
12. Work on special projects as needed to improve tax related operations.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
3. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Experience with tax research tools, ERP systems, and tax preparation software.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
8. English, additional language(s) an advantage.
9. Schedule of this position: Monday– Friday | Core business hours | Onsite.
