We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Temporary Traffic Flaggers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic through construction zones, roadwork areas, or other temporary traffic disruptions. This position is ideal for individuals who are comfortable working outdoors and can effectively communicate with drivers and team members to maintain safety on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct Traffic: Control and direct vehicle flow through construction zones or roadwork areas using flags, signs, and handheld communication devices.
• Safety Protocols: Enforce safety standards and ensure that all vehicles and pedestrians adhere to traffic control signals.
• Monitor Traffic Conditions: Observe traffic behavior and report any hazards or potential safety issues to the supervisor or site manager.
• Coordinate with Crew: Work closely with other flaggers and construction personnel to ensure smooth and safe operations.
• Clear Signaling: Use clear, consistent hand signals and/or signs to direct traffic, as per project specifications and safety guidelines.
• Ensure Equipment Is Safe: Ensure that all traffic control devices, such as cones, barriers, or signs, are properly placed and maintained throughout the workday.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous traffic flagging or construction site experience is required
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills; ability to give clear and concise instructions.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to recognize and respond to potential hazards and traffic issues promptly.
• Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.
• Reliable: Punctuality and dependability are essential for this role.
