Traffic/Transportation Civil Engineering Intern – Summer 2025
to join our
Raleigh, NC,
office.

Our Internship Program,
Explore,
is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what
it’s
like to work in a professional environment and apply
what’s
learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work alongside traffic en
gineers to compile and analyze data for reports and presentations to North Carolina Department of
T
ransportation staff.
Perform field data collection
of traffic data.
Assist
with drafting technical reports
and presentations based on data analysis to allow the North Carolina Department of
T
ransportation to make data-driven decisions.
Assist
with writing code, scripts, or algorithms to analyze raw data for
reports and graphics.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
No experience is
if accepted into an
Associate's or Bachelor's
degree program in a related technical field.
EDUCATION
:
Must have completed
60 hours
towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2025)
.
SPECIAL SKILLS
:
Basic computer skills
to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
