Charter Dura-Bar seeks a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead operations at our Fort Worth, Texas facility!
What you'll do:
Manage Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance of processing operation.
Plan and schedule resources to meet customer expectations.
Manage maintenance of facility as well as machines and equipment.
Provide performance feedback yearly and as needed to develop and manage performance.
Accountability for all shifts of processing operations (entire site).
Foster and drive continuous improvement throughout site.
Manage capacity / capability of site and related projects.
Manage supply and demand needs of processing operations.
Establish / maintain performance measures or metrics to review performance of processing operation.
Communicate status with sales to meet / exceed customer expectations.
Manage customer relations as it relates to interaction or requests for corrective actions.
Plan and schedule resources to maximize production for all shifts.
Monitor department activities and assist with any and all problem resolutions.
Manage accident investigation and corrective actions, housekeeping, and safety auditing processes.
Prepare and submit required reports to management or process partners.
Responsibility for identifying improved methods to ensure product quality is maintained through effective handling and storage techniques.
Manage the development, justification, and implementation of capital projects.
Mentor and develop direct reports. Assign and review work, interview, train, discipline, evaluate performance, enforce company policies, and recommend changes on employee status.
What you'll need to have:
Associate degree, technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One plus years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Oracle EBS or OTM.
Strong written and verbal communication skills requiring tact and discretion.
Thorough knowledge of processing and warehouse operations.
Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods, including process flow, layout assembly, and utilization of production equipment.
Experience in dealing with and managing Sales, Customers, and Suppliers.
Ability to analyze data; statistical, financial, and situational to effectively solve problems and make sound decisions.
Ability to work with ambiguous information and to implement and support policies, practices, and plans.
What we'd like to see:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical related field.
Three plus years’ experience in a leadership/management capacity within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to be a self-starter and requiring little or no supervision.
Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Office Products software and Oracle solutions.
Trained in Lean / Six Sigma methodology.
