CACI is hiring an Web Services Engineer to support our customer in Annapolis Junction, MD!
What You’ll Get to Do:
Installation and Configuration: Install and configure web server software (e.g., Apache, Nginx, IIS) and related components.
Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly update and patch web servers to ensure they are secure and performing optimally.
Monitoring and Performance Tuning:
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and potential issues.
Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect web servers from threats and vulnerabilities.
Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of server failure.
Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
Collaboration: Work closely with development and IT teams to support web application deployments and ensure smooth operation.
User Support: Provide support to users and developers for web server-related issues and inquiries.
Ticket-Based Support: Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring user satisfaction.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with users and stakeholders, addressing their concerns, and providing solutions.
Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline server management tasks.
Compliance:
Ensure that web server operations comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
Maintain compliance with DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) standards and guidelines.
More About the Role:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Red Hat System Administrator (RHSA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security practices.

19 years of experience and HS/GED OR bachelor’s and 14 years of experience
IAT Level 2
CompTIA Security+ CE

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$119,800 - $263,600
