LOCATION:  Mississauga, ON

SHIFT TIMINGS:  AM/PM - 40-45 hours per week

PAY RATE : $26 - $29/hour

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand tools and equipment, including forklifts. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in assembling components and ensuring high-quality standards in our manufacturing processes.

Duties

• Perform welding tasks using various techniques to fabricate metal components.
• Able to do GMAW welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
• Assemble parts and components accurately according to design requirements.
• Utilize hand tools and welding equipment effectively to complete tasks.
• Conduct inspections of completed welds for quality assurance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Operate forklifts as needed for material handling within the facility.

Requirements

• 2+ years of proven experience in welding/fitting with a strong understanding of various welding techniques.
• CWB welder ticket is a must.
• TIG Welding is considered as an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with calipers and other measuring instruments for precise work.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Previous experience in fabricating metal components is preferred but not required.
• A commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
