Description
Responsible oversight of SurfacePrep - Microfinish Facility quality systems, position requirements include but are not limited to:
USA citizenship required - ITAR regulations
- Assist General Manager in development of long range and annual plans
- Some oversight of production operations as needed
- Input on Quotation Review and Contract Review team
- Process development team:
- Oversight of development, documentation and repeatability of new mfg processes
- Composition of work instructions process routings
- Automation initiatives as required
- Production personnel training and documentation
- Work order efficiency / profitability review and management of customer programs
- Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
- Director of Health and Safety teams and overall program
- Coordination with interested parties on development and implementation of 6S approach
- ISO / AS team leader
- Integral in championing culture underpinnings and QMS throughout organization
- Assign and manage corrective action procedures
- Lead internal and certification audits
- Customer service support to sales manager and inside sales when necessary
- Special projects as assigned by General Manager
- Direct Reports: All quality personnel, shared direct reporting of group leaders

- Process Owner - "Quality" (See all QMS sections - Primarily 4.0, 6.0, 7.0, 9.0) // Level 4 Authority // Reports to General Manager
Requirements
Minimum Required Competence:
- BS / BA and at least three years of experience working in a related field
- Understanding of general business concepts
- Experience with AS9100 / ISO9001 or ISO13485 standards
- Competence and familiarity with Microsoft Office functionalities
- Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions, ideas and concepts verbally and in writing using the English language
- Understanding of and ability to perform basic math functions, understand basic statistical formulas (ie averages, percentages)
- Capability of adapting to changing plans, schedules and environments
- Capable of self-directed activity such as managing workflow, prioritizing and resource management without continuous supervision
- Capable of comfortably and safely conducting work within an industrial manufacturing workplace
- Exposure to and understanding of general OSHA requirements
- Managerial level experience in Operations and / or Mfg Engineering
- Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing and performance measurement concepts
- Knowledge of and experience with production scheduling and order processing workflows
- Knowledge and experience with preventative maintenance plans
- Knowledge of a manufacturing facility's maintenance structure and requirements
- General experience with cost accounting, budgeting and analysis
- General experience with and exposure to basic Quality Management functions
- Experience with customer service, contractual agreements / negotiations and successful experience with extensive customer interface
Non-Essential, Desired Attributes:
